Our Beef Silverside is a lean, flavourful roasting joint cut from the hindquarter, renowned for being the centerpiece of a traditional family dinner. With its robust beef character and excellent value, it’s a versatile cut perfect for classic comfort food. Lean and Meaty: As a very lean, boneless joint, Silverside offers a generous amount of meat for slicing and is a great option for those seeking less fat. Rich Beef Flavor: While lean, this cut delivers a deep, satisfying beef flavor that stands up well to herbs, spices, and rich gravies. Ideal for Braising & Roasting: Due to its texture, Silverside is best prepared using: Slow & Moist Cooking (Pot Roasting or Braising) to break down the fibers for fork-tender results. Hot & Fast Cooking to achieve a rare/blushing pink center, then sliced very thinly against the grain. Top Tip: Silverside is the traditional cut used to make delicious Corned Beef when brined!
